Kingdom of the Lion

The Kingdom of the Lion at Africa Alive offers visitors a unique view of the park’s lions as they graze, play and prowl just as they would in a savannah! The Kingdom of the Lion is a must-see for anyone hoping to capture some excellent snaps of their day at the wildlife park. Here, you are able to photograph the lions up close, without disturbing them from the lookout lodge or by visiting their den.

The Wild Zone

The Wild Zone is an indoor play area like no other! Children can bring out their wild side as they climb ropes across rivers of balls, indulge in sensory jungle play and experience the thrill of balls being released as a waterfall from above. This attraction is for little ones under 12 years of age and is the perfect time for other members of the family to sit back and rest their feet after a day of walking around the park.

The Safari Road Train

If you feel like putting your feet up, you could forego the walking safari and take a ride around the park on the Safari Road Train. The train is free for visitors to ride as much as they like and is a great alternative to walking that gets you to and from the best locations in the park. The train runs from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, so make sure to hop aboard before it's too late!

What to take with you?

It is recommended to bring additional clothing depending on the season, such as a light jacket in the summer months and a waterproof for the winter months.

When is the best time to visit?

Africa Alive is open all year round from 9:30 pm till 5:30 pm. The best times to visit are weekdays when the park is slightly quieter so you will be able to get a better view of the animals. Due to the variety of species located at the park, there is always something exciting going on, so visitors will not be disappointed at any time they choose to visit!
